Britax B-Ready Stroller and 2nd Seat - Silver Reviews
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful The City Select is better for twins - higher weight limit than Britax, June 16, 2011 This review is from: Britax B-Ready Stroller and 2nd Seat - Silver (Baby Product) With three kids under four, including twins, I've had my fair share of double strollers. The Baby Jogger City Select and the Britax B -Ready look very similar, but they're not when used in doubles mode. Which stroller is better really depends on the age of your kids. For twins or children close in weight, I found the City Select has more advantages, but if you have different age kids, the Britax is worth a look.
Some considerations:
* The City Select stroller was Baby Gizmo's top tandem stroller in 2010 -- the 2011 model has been redesigned with deeper and firmer seats, improving an already excellent stroller. The Britax B-Ready is a first-generation stroller and still has some areas that could be improved upon.
* Of the two, the City Select is a better stroller for twins because of the 45 lb. weight allowance for each of its full-size seats (child's weight and baggage, for a maximum of 90 lbs overall), foot wells that expand to 10.5 inches and large... Read more
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Wonderful cross between Phil Ted's and City Select, April 6, 2011 By This review is from: Britax B-Ready Stroller and 2nd Seat - Silver (Baby Product) I usually write reviews when I hate a product but I have to make an exception this time. This stroller is amazing, I have a 4 year old, a 15 month old and another one on the way and I tried everything from Phil and Ted's to City Select and Graco Duo Glider (not sure about the name). It's almost like they took the best parts of Phil and Ted's and City Select and created this stroller. This is by far the easiest to push even with a 35 pound 4 year old and a 24 pound 15 month old. I can navigate it fully with one hand when I have one kid in it. It handles very well even uphill. Both seats are the same size, just the second seat does not have the foot rest which makes sense because the kid's feet are in the basket underneath anyway. There is plenty of storage even with the second child's feet in the basket, you can reach it from the front of the stroller which is a life saver, again, when you have the second kid in. The bottom seat is much more spacious, higher from the ground and airy... Read more
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Great stroller with minor problem when you use the infant car seat, May 23, 2011 By This review is from: Britax B-Ready Stroller and 2nd Seat - Silver (Baby Product) This is a great stroller. If you don't use the second seat, the storage basket is HUGE. I can easily store a smaller cooler along with my large diaper bag (with room to spare) in it when we go to the beach and the parks. The seat reclines very nicely and I was able to use it with my rather large perschooler just fine. The stroller itself handled really well with my daughter in it (she's 45 lbs). The one step break system on the stroller is very nice. I like that it has many compartments for drinks. The stroller comes with a cupholder but it also has a storage unit on the bottom where you can hold 2 more drinks. When I have my baby with me, I use the cupholder for my coffee, one of the bottom cup holder for my daughter's water bottle and the other one for my son's bottle. The seat can be easily removed so that you can use the stroller with an infant car seat. I have the Britax infant carseat and it fits very nice in it. My only complain is that it is a hassle to unclick the infant car... Read more
