Inglesina Avio Stroller, Fuchsia Reviews
8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Feature-rich multi-purpose stroller, March 24, 2011 By This review is from: Inglesina Avio Stroller, Light Blue (Baby Product) I am a serial stroller researcher/shopper and fully admit to spending too much time looking at these things online. I ordered the Avio in light blue, sight unseen, based on its features, and purchasing it was definitely the right choice!
For me, the "dealbreakers" for a stroller are: ease of fold, folded size, weight, recline, canopy, push, and handle height. The Avio met my criteria for all of these! The fold is one of the easiest out there once you've done it a few times -- if it doesn't get super easy/natural by the 10th time or so, it might be user error in putting it together or something. The fold is on par with the Baby Jogger City Mini: literally pushing a button and pulling up firmly on a handle to collapse the stroller into a nice, fairly compact standing package. I like that it locks automatically and the seat folds inward as well as in half, umbrella-style. The weight is not bad for a stroller with so many features; it's not going to be as light as a bare-bones... Read more
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Benefits Out-way Initial Learning Curve, March 19, 2011 By This review is from: Inglesina Avio Stroller, Black (Baby Product) The Inglesina Avio Stroller is touted as 'the perfect stroller for on the go urbanites'. Translation - this stroller is best for strolling on sidewalks and smooth developed indoor or paved outdoor surfaces.
Handling: What I have discovered is that the Inglesina Avio stroller is different than allot of less-expensive non-jogging strollers in that it's wheels actually have ball bearings. This gives the stroller the ability to roll very smoothly with hardly any vibration within the stroller seat, with minimal pushing. The wheels are fixed in position, so the turn radius is not that sharp - it will make a smooth turn however, within a 5 foot radius.
Standing at 5'5", I am very conscience of handle placement. The Avio stroller's handle is in a position comfortable enough to hold, but I really wished the handle had an adjustment option.
My husband however is nearly 6 foot tall and said "This stroller is perfect for dads who are 5'11" - 6'2", very smooth ride... Read more
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Searched high and wide for the perfect stroller, September 16, 2011 By This review is from: Inglesina Avio Stroller, Fuchsia (Baby Product) I've been using the bassinet & stroller seat with my baby thus far and REALLY like it--she's almost 3 months old and over 11 pounds. I had a list of criteria and this stroller met most. I was down to the Bugaboo (2 piece fold is not practical for me + too heavy), and the Uppababy Vista (wheelbase was too wide--I like to go everywhere with my baby & heavier than the Avio).
PROS:
-a one piece fold (so no removing the seat but obviously need to remove bassinet),
-simple fold (click and pull!), folds upright (not touching floor which is critical to me in NYC!),
-bassinet availability,
- very good recline & sun canopy,
-one piece handle for easy maneuvering on NYC streets (turns on a dime!),
-narrow wheelbase (19.5" vs 26" for the Vista I think), good for 5'1" mom and 6'0" dad (although he sometimes kicks the bottom if he doesn't stand far enough).
-Sleek look
CONS:
-the handle height is not adjustable. The handle height... Read more
